Understanding human stories through data

Busara’s focus on data driven analysis paired with their appreciation of human centred design made the people of Busara particularly interesting to learn from.

I worked closely with Busara to support their quickly growing team with creative direction. We refreshed the brand identity, hired a communications director, and developed a website plan to support the communications strategy.

1) Flexible Visual Identity

The brand and all collateral were created on a 12×12 grid which enables Busara’s identity to work on different scales, from an icon to a country map.

With flexibility as a guiding principle, the Busara brand can grow dynamically and fit the needs of the team.

2) Team, strategy & direction.

After working closely on the brand refresh, we brought in the team’s first key hire, a communication director. This internal lead gave Busara a focal point to build a team and strategy around.

3) Website plan & strategy.

A project that involved 30+ stakeholder interviews to determine target psychographics, gather insights and develop a strategy for website functionality.
